McDonald’s may be the fastest food you’ll find in Joplin. In my experience, service at this location is usually quick, and the prices—while creeping up lately—are still among the most affordable around. That’s really the appeal of McDonald’s: fast and cheap. As for the food, it’s nothing extraordinary, but it gets the job done. The Oreo McFlurry is a standout treat (when the machine is working), but beyond that, the menu is more about convenience than quality. Still, for the speed and value, it’s hard to beat.
