Stopped at McDonald’s at the Grand Canyon, and I get it, you’re in a major tourist spot… but the price gouging is wild. Everything is noticeably higher than normal, and it’s not just McDonald’s, the whole area seems to be doing the same thing. I’m not expecting small-town prices at one of the most famous places in the world, but there’s a difference between a slight markup and straight-up overcharging. McDonalds is supposed to be predictable, but this was easily one of the worst fast food experiences ever. They are blatantly taking advantage of tourists. Prices are absurd, 2–3x what you’d pay anywhere else. I’ve seen cheaper Quarter Pounders at international airports. We literally pulled through the drive-thru line without ordering because it was that outrageous. If you’re visiting the Grand Canyon, do yourself a favor and eat anywhere else.
