This is a great boat ramp. There is an area to stage or prep your boat before launching, public restrooms, regular parking for those who just want to hangout by the water on one of the floating docks, and a lot of parking for those with boat trailers. You might get lucky enough to see a decent size alligator, and if you are there to fish, Lake Apopka is an awesome fishery that certainly produces some Trophy Catch quality bass.
I just checked out the McDonald Canal Boat Ramp, and I have to say, it’s a really nice, spacious spot! If you’re looking for a solid place to launch or just spend a few hours fishing, this one is definitely a winner.
