Pilobolus Shadowlands was really beautiful! We were treated so nicely by staff from the moment we walked in the door until the moment we left. Events at McCain bring the world to the little apple and we love it!
Beautiful auditorium on a beautiful campus. I love the size and the layout, and I have a fondness for the house lighting in the ceiling for some strange reason. I love the variety of artists, groups, and touring companies that they include in their performance series. We're so lucky to have such a world-class Performing Arts venue in the middle of Kansas that brings us such a wealth of cultural exposure! McCain is truly a special place.
If you are tall, your knees hit the chair in front of you. The chair are also pretty low to the ground. We went to see a show 1/30 and sat on the right side isle. They were showing video and from that location we couldn't see.
Love the performances and the auditorium but the bathrooms need updated. So few bathrooms for such big audiences is ridiculous
The McCain Auditorium was most likely very useful for students and young adults, but, now it does seem a little too crowded. Don't confuse the fact that I love the entertainment that McCain has offered. My husband and I were friends of McCain until it got a little expensive for shows and the contribution went higher. There are people on fixed incomes and find it difficult to donate. But we have loved most of the shows you have to offer.
