Wouldn’t recommend if you are looking for any kind of clarification about health issues a person has been dealing with for many years. Took my 19 year old daughter to see Dr. McCahan. She had an 8 vertebrae spinal fusion at 16 years old. She has been dealing with health issues since she was little. All of her blood work came back abnormal (Rheumatoid Factor, CBC, ANA, plus several more). We didn’t have insurance at the time, and we are also dealing with homelessness at this time. Dr. McCahan is an exceptional physician; listens well, kind, solutions oriented. I always feel better after a visit.
By the time you make it to a Rheumatologist your expectations for Dr appts are low. It takes so many years of confusing medical symptoms to finally be referred to a specialist. Dr McCahan has been a Godsend! He challenges my thinking and gets to the root of my health. It has truly been a journey, at first he drove me crazy and now I cannot be more grateful for his approach and knowledge. I genuinely enjoy him and no longer dread every Dr appt. I would recommend him over and over again!
