Mcarthur's Small Engine Repair is the area's hidden gem. After using other options in Monticello where I received bad service and had to wait weeks before my lawnmower was repaired I came across Brandon. Brandon was able to diagnose and repair my mower while I waited. He took it apart in front of me and showed me the problems. Like magic he got my 15 year old Toro lawn mower to purr like it was brand new. His price's and time were reasonable and he is the only person I'll allow to repair my machinery. One correction - the hours on Sunday are 10-2PM - other than that phenomenal service! I was dead in the water with a mower that couldn't start on a Sunday w/ half my yard left to cut. I showed up at 10AM and Brandon took care of me. Within an hour I was back on the way with a fully functional mower. He had his voltmeter out and diagnosed my problem within minutes. Highly recommended but call ahead as its a family business and by Appointment only.
Excellent experience! Brandon diagnosed and repaired our UTV engine issue quickly and was a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend Mcarthur's Small Engine Repair, we will be back with other equipment that needs service.
I brought my running walk behind mower to Brandon, based off of reviews from here.. I had brought all parts to do the job except for 2 drive belts that I wanted changed. After a few days Brandon called me up and asked me if I could bring $500, so that he could pay cell phone bills. He had written the bill at $400 at this point for labor. I brought my lawn mower to have it looked at. He looked it over, explained what was causing my issues and gave me an estimate. He was very informative and friendly. This is a great place to take any of your small engine equipment. He in thorough and upfront about everything. I will be returning!
