We had the most wonderful family reunion. We enjoyed our stay at McArthur Manor. The hospitality was incredible & the food was excellent. We had catered breakfast each day & multiple catered dinners which we all enjoyed immensely! McArthur Manor was the most beautiful venue for our wedding and exceeded all of our expectations. Nicholas was incredible during the planning process and so helpful and calm on the day. We have to also mention the Chef, Andy. He cooked such a delicious meal (covering both a Bulgarian menu and Scottish) which received so many compliments from all our guests. Stayed here for 2 nights/3 days to attend a family wedding. Fabulous venue, great bedrooms/accommodation and exceptional hospitality. Nicholas, the venue owner/manager, was very attentive throughout the entire stay and made sure those of us with ‘dietary’ needs felt safely catered for. He was both discreet and visible (opposites, I know) throughout the entire event and worked long hours to create a very welcoming and special atmosphere. We had a fab 24-person reunion at McArthur Manor this July. The manor is massive and gorgeous! The rooms were great, each with its own bathroom. We throughly enjoyed the in-house pub and games room. Nicholas and team were great every step of way, from the initial planning through to hosting us and accommodating our requests. We loved the Highland Games and Scottish Dancing that Nicholas suggested. The food was delicious. We couldn’t have asked for a better week!
We ran 2-week writers retreats here in May 2023 and again in May 2025. McArthur Manor has only gotten better week after week, stay after stay. I wish I could give this place an extra star for how at home they have made us feel both times we've stayed here. Managers Nicholas & Cynthia were thorough, transparent, and communicative in the planning process (ask about setting up a Pub Quiz hosted by Cynthia!).
