So we frequent McAlisters because we like the food and the atmosphere. BUT we decided to visit the Dogwood location down the road from our home and it was 8:55pm on a Thursday. Door says they close at 10pm. So we order our food and we’re told it’s take out only. I asked why and the lady says….”Because I’m leaving and going home.” There were 4 or 5 employees cleaning and ready to check out at 9pm and they don’t close until 10pm. The person who took our order treated so badly. We ordered two kid meals. The person asked you have only one kid, why you want two kid meals? Also, we were charged $4.99 for dine-in kid meals, which per the menu costs only $3.99. When asked for a breakup of the costs for the different items we ordered, the person who took the order showed such a rude face that I wanted to cancel the whole order and leave. But, my daughter was so hungry, so we wanted to go ahead with the order and eat.

This is the best McAllister's in the area in my opinion. I mostly get sandwiches here and whoever puts them together knows what they are doing. It is hard to explain but there is a notable difference in other locations. I will drive a little extra to come here. In my experience, the staff are always great too. It is also nice how the drinks are on the side so you don't have to wait as long for refills and can do as much or little ice as you want.
