Used to love McAfee but their products are now adware. The pop up advertising at the bottom right corner were just an annoyance at first but now they are dangerous. I suffered a job loss and in applying for a new job I had to do an online assessment which in order to prevent cheating detects any navigation away from the page as cheating. The stupid pop up ad triggered that anti cheat and I was kicked out of the online test. Are customers dumb enough to click those ads? Does McAfee ever actually make money from them? Popups every day, multiple times per day. These businesses are stupid, they think a popup forces people to buy, no it forces people to never deal with you again with your desperate popups. Gone, deleted... wasn't cheap anyway
I have Windows 11 running on my computer and daily I have received a pop up box -- I dont know how to stop it. It keeps asking me to buy McAfee protection I have refused - then it stopped after 4 weeks, only to pick it up again at the start of 2025 - daily - how do I get rid of it ?? Annoying AF
