I recieved a letter from these people about a property that I don't own. Conveniently, at 2 in the afternoon, no one answers the phone and there is no voicemail option. Run!

I have just received a notice of Outstanding Fine in the mail from this group in spite of the fact that I haven't even lived in ***** in over 15 years and have, up until now, not received any communication about this so-called "fine". As a result, I have no idea what this is referencing and believe this to be a scam.

These people have been mailing me threats of warrant for my arrest for years now. The ticket they referenced I did time served. Now with their most recent warrant roundup they mailed a postcard to my parents home, as well as texted my father's cell phone saying they are trying to get ahold of me. The DA of Comal county has a protective order keeping me from that address and I am to have no communications with my parents. Texting my father in regards to an old citation which I already took care of, is unprofessional as well a... read more

MVBA, also known as MCCreary Veselka Bragg & Allen P.C., has sent me their "Notice of outstanding balance", threat saying, needs my immediate attention. I took care of the issue several YEARS ago, but continue getting this trash mail from them. I would never do allow these folks represent me, since they can not even get a bill right!

The Law Firm of McCreary, Veselka, Bragg, & Allen, L.L.C. illegally sends out a letter to me to collect a debt due to the Town of Little Elm Emergency Services , also known as Emergicon for $840.26. Tried calling these people at number on top of the letter and was given very rude attitude and a hang up. Then trying to call back and they didn't want to pick up for a few tries. When finally connected again, I had to endure more attitude, when they say I need to dispute in a letter. I ask for the street address so I may get a c... read more

I received a letter from them that I was being foreclosed on for not paying my property tax. On the letter it gave a phone number to call. When you call it rings for 3 minutes straight then disconnects. I have tried 4 times with the same results. I sold the property last year and do not own it any longer. How does a business not answer their phone? I called the main line in Austin and they said I would just have to keep trying. I do not live in the area or I would get in my car and physically walk in the office. This office ... read more

This law firm is using false information to collect $406.00 for Medical Services dated 6/10/2003. This is not a legal debt, the law firm is using the name McCreary Veselka Bragg & Allen LLC and MVBA collection firm to submit false claims. If this were a legal debt it exceeds the statue of limitations. This firm has history of attempting to collect disputed debt for Texas Department of Public Services supported by numerous online complaints for false claims in violation of State of Texas Statues.

Business response:

The debt in question was placed with MVBA by our client. Our client is a municipality in the State of Texas. This is a legal debt, since, according to state law, there is no statute of limitations on the collection of debts owed to municipalities. The statement, "the firm has a history of attempting to collect disputed debt for Texas Department of Public Services" is curious, because, MVBA does not now or has never represented such an entity and it is doubtful such an entity even exists. If the reviewer wishes to dispute th... read more
