I was on my 8th month of pregnancy when she told me that my baby had a craniosynostosis. She was very sure about it. I felt devastated at that time. I had a second opinion and told that there’s nothing wrong with my baby. We even went to see the neurologist in Charlottesville Medical Center to make sure and very thankful that there’s really nothing wrong. My baby girl is 2 years old now, very healthy and adorable.

Terrible experience (especially) for first pregnancy. Horrible bedside manner, was careless, without empathy, and most importantly- Wrong! She gave info that was devastating, and also completely incorrect which was proven by second & third opinions. My first appointment with her, and only second appointment ever she was pushing for me to have a partial abortion the next week to turn my baby in to a science experiment. Again, if you choose to see her- proceed with caution.

Dr. McCoy is very straight to the point. I think some other people (esp by the reviews) cant handle her personality, but you have to understand what type of job she has… She is extremely knowledgeable and our family is so thankful for her. We have seen and will continue to see Dr. McCoy for our future child when the time comes.
