Update: The service manager, Robert, reached out and took over the repair management. He was very communicative and provided updates a few times each week on where they were and how the repair was evolving. The estimated it would take 2 weeks, but turned into 6 weeks. I just got the car back, and while 80% of the issues have been addressed, there are still a few items that are non-conforming. I wish there were a zero star option. They never called me back. I had to call five more times just to get a response. They sounded nice, but I could tell they were annoyed about resolving the issue.
I brought my Miata ND3 RF Club MT with 750 miles here to change oil after break in period. While I specifically asked for the high moly oil, some hiccup happened and bulk 0W20 was used (Q50W20) instead and I only realized when I got home. While that oil is manufactured approved, the MX 5 is picky and it wants the high moly oil so the engine is noticeably noisier. I would go to a different service dealership than the one at kirkland. I brought my CPO Mazda for warranty service and what was supposed to be a week repair turned into a month and a week to repair. Spoiler alert, they didn't fix anything, all the same issues are there. Johnny was my service manager and he did not communicate any updates. I called weekly to see what was going on as the service manager kept pushing back the date. Each time it was for a different piece.
