Dr. Sorkin is an excellent physician. She is very knowledgeable and articulate and is not afraid to go up to bat for her patients when insurance companies or administration oversteps their boundaries. Highly recommended.
Dr. Sorkin has an okay level of bedside manner. But that is where it ran out for me in multiple encounters with her. She failed to treat my malnutrition with TPN when EVERY other doctor said it was needed. The most recent occasion she sent me home unable to speak with significant left side weakness, with no answers, no referrals, no care for what would happen to me. She has treated other people in a very similar manner, but that is their story to tell. Overall, unless you have a very easy illness to treat, you might be okay.... read more
One of the worst experiences i have ever seen through a dr. She would visit 1 time only during a stay and even refused to come see a patient if they asked to speak to her. A flat out refusal when i asked to see her about my wifes case as i was not in the room when she came to visit. The dr cares more about pushing people out of the hospital then actual patient care. Has the demener and atitude of an er dr where they are they there to make sure that your not dying and then send you off to seek care from another dr in a differ... read more
She is the best Hospitalist I have ever had. She is very caring, articulate and actually listens to the needs of her patients. I cannot say enough about Dr. Sorkin. She saved my life.
