Exellent food, nice music playing in background that make you travel!
I could eat here every day! Today I started with some hot Hibiscus tea and a bowl of lentil soup followed by the Lamb Karahi (with a mild spice) served with a dish of seasoned rice. I was joined by my wife and cousin for a nice tasty meal in a very relaxed atmosphere that felt like “home”! For dessert I had the baklava with Turkish coffee that was a fitting ending to today’s meal. Ida makes us feel like family, and I can’t wait until I can get out to Fairfax for more!
Unfortunately, our experience at this restaurant was very disappointing. The food did not taste fresh and seemed old/stale. There was also an unpleasant smell inside the restaurant. The glasses provided to us were visibly dirty, which was very concerning. The service was also poor and did not meet our expectations. For the price we paid, we expected fresh food, clean utensils and glasses, and much better service. Yesterday we have dinner in this resturant. Atmosphere is nice, customer service is excellent but food is very expensive. Quantity of food is not even for 1_person. Picture show the salad but they gave us kabob & plain rice only. Prices are very high according to the platter. Disappointed.
Texted on Aug 31st to make a reservation for high tea. Called at 1:47pm on the same day gave the lady who answered my credit card information as I was instructed to confirm the reservation. Confirmed over the the phone we were all set. Showed up for our high tea reservation. Our reservation was in the book but we were unable to do the high tea because nobody there could run it. We were told we could do it the next day but we were unable to make that work due to scheduling conflicts. We ended up ordering off the regular menu.... read more
