Never experienced the rude receptionist until this morning. I had a phone appointment. Apparently my phone was having some issues, but I didn’t know this as I was able to call just fine last night. The first call the doctor made was around 13 minutes late, but it hung up immediately. The doctor called again and left a voicemail saying my phone hasn’t been ringing, so I should call the front desk and have them transfer the call to him. Dr. Lin has been my family doctor and I absolutely love her. She listens, makes assessments and treats you like a human being with feelings - not just another person with a number on your head. She’s knowledgeable and great with communication and typically on time with your appointments.
I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Maywood Medical, both recently and over the years. Today, I took time off work and went to Vancouver Coastal Health for a skin test based on a referral provided by my family doctor at Maywood Medical. When I arrived, the staff at Vancouver Coastal Health informed me that they had stopped providing this testing service a long time ago.
