Mayura- A Restaurant for a Heavenly Meal – Finally , I found out a paradise in Los Angeles. The buffet I had at Mayura on Friday, was soooo good. I never ever had such a great Indian food in Los Angeles. I 've been to almost all Indian restaurants in Los Angeles, but I could never find a great place( I don't mean the decor or ambience), I mean food and service, like Mayura. At least 5 times , someone will come and ask you if you need anything more. I am really impressed with the high energy of the place. Everyone seems to be... read more

My Most Favorite Indian Restaurant in Los Angeles – I eat at Mayura at least four times a week since it started. The food is really authentic. The place is very clean and the people are very friendly. It is very hard to believe the reviews written by the so called Raj9 , Shafika and Mohd. I read a review written by the guy Raj9 in another site the same review with an additionaladvice " so don't go to Mayura, Go to Annapurna". Please don't think that all are so silly like you guys. We want good restaurants like Mayura. It is ... read more

Don't Go. – We went to this place last week . A old lady welcomed us and asked us to take a seat. It took them 20 minutes to get a person come to take our orders and 25 minutes to give us the orders. We ordered biriyanis and curry .The biriyani was watery and it tasted like rice mixed with some kind of ready made sauce. The chicken korma and vegetable curry looked like it was mixed with some left over from afternoon. Anyway, everything was bad and my son started vomitting on the way back home. it was a real waste of our mone... read more

Need Improvement in service and quality of food – We went three times this year. We are happy to see Indian faces in this place but the food quality is very bad. They don?t have the quality people for them. We ordered Mutton Briyani; they gave us only Tomato sauce with rice with few mutton pieces. That?s tomato briyani. We also ordered mutton curry. They used Tomato sauce and mutton piece to make this curry. Mistakenly I ordered for vegetarian curry with chapatti. They gave me chapatti and afternoon?s veg aviyal. No taste at ... read more

WORST INDIAN FOOD IN LA! – Sorry, but I tried to like this place. I am Indian and am quite familiar with North and South Indian food, but this place is sooooo very bad. Food quality is awful. Service is terrible. There are no real waiters--just a few Mexican guys cleaning the tables. There is an older woman who greets you at the door, but then you are lucky if you ever see or speak with an employee again. Forget about ordering a drink because you can't find anyone to order from! If you get a glass of water here, consider you... read more

Getting worse these days – This restaurant was good when they started. Lately their service is not good. I was dissappointed at my last visit. Service not up to the price they charge. They do not ask you if you want a drink though it is included in the buffet. Only regular customers would know to order a drink. They do not inform you what is included in the meal. How hostile is that. It took them half an hour even to give us glasses to drink but no water. There were like 4 people servicing around and no body cared to check. ... read more

WONDERFUL SOUTH INDIAN FOOD – This restaurant specializes in South Indian cuisine, which is mainly vegetarian, although they also offer some meat dishes. Many varieties of Dosa - a crisp, thin crepe with potato, onion and other vegetable stuffing. We had the spinach dosa which was delicious. Comes with lentil soup - sambar, and coconut chutney. Tamarind rice was also good. Rasam, a lime flavored soup, was very spicy. This is a very different experience from your standard Indian restaurant.

Like dining in Heaven – Let me start by saying that I love Indian food. The variety of flavors, the use of exotic spices, and the imaginative combinations of ingredients are compleletly different from other types of food. That having been said, I need to tell you that the food here is magical. I can not even imagine a better Indian meal than at Mayura. Everything is fresh and wonderful. (And very inexpensive). The service is great, parking is limited and the decor is basic but go there for the food. It is absolutely great. T... read more
