Hey let me tell you mayo hospital network is top notch as they went above and beyond. I finally got a referral as I have other health issues that needed a 2nd opinion. I kept telling my local hospital I had thrush due to all of antibiotics on and off over the last year. The thrush was getting worse with no luck with my current provider of giving proper prescription. My girlfriend drove me 2 hrs to Mayo er. NEVER will I go there again!!! Waited almost 2 hours to be "seen". I was called back and placed in a room. My blood pressure was taken and I was told to put on a gown. I went in for post complications from a cancer biopsy which was showing symptoms of an infection. I waited an hour and a half and I saw 1 nurse who told me that they haven't even assigned me a Dr yet, and she was leaving because it was shift change. I understand that the front desk emergency staff face significant stress during their shifts. However, it is crucial for them to recognize that they are the first point of contact for patients and guests, and they must convey respect and professionalism. Recently, I visited to see a family member in the Emergency Department. The staff was so friendly and got me in and out with the answers i needed! No wait time for a bed too!
After having to go to the bathroom twice, nobody was there to help me I get out of bed with seizure's Not to mention, they didn’t do anything in lacrosse. I have to go all the way to Rochester now I shouldn’t want to begin with or just go to a different hospital. This is a joke.
