Outside of Mayo Clinic itself, ISJ is a good Hospital. All 3 of our kids were born there. My father in law had a stent put in after a heart attack at the cardiac center. And a few other hospitalizations over the years for things. Dr's and nurses were professional and always took care of our issues.Â
Staff were very nice willing to help. hopefully when all this counstriction is done with be easier to get around. only bad thing is the parking very limited with out walking a huge distanceÂ

Get the DR. OFF THE PHONE! If he has a situation to be taken care of ASAP - then he should excuse himself and come back in when he can pay FULL attention to the patient in front of him. VERY FRUSTRATING.Â

I had a stroke on my right side. It did not affect my ability to think or speak or feel. I was put in a bed with an alarm on and had a camera on me 24/7. I was badgered by the nurses with words and actions. I heard them outside my room saying âshe figured out where the call button isâ. When they decided I was calling the nurse too often they disabled the button. There are two RXs I have been on for over 10 years. They decided I didnât need my regular meds. Long waits, high costs, and referral to an incapable doctor in their system...had to find my own help elsewhere...poor care for what Mayo is usually not recognized for. Rochester is much better.Â
We had a nurse by the name Kiera on Saturday in room 2616. She was amazing, she went above and beyond on everything.Â
