I am writing this review 6 years after I made the trip to Mayo Clinic from Texas. I had been battling severe gastrointestinal issues for years, seeing several doctors who kept putting me on different medications, which did not work, then having to wait months to get another appointment. This trip was costly, but life- changing. Dr. Umar listened and figured out a medication that worked for me. Here I am, this many years later, doing fabulous. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Umar and the staff at Mayo Clinic!
Terrible service !!!
Has anyone ever actually been able to get an appointment? I have several specialists that have referred me here for JAGA-A and there is 1 doctor in the country studying it. I spoke to their research assistant who told me to call in to get an appointment to get added to the study. All I get is a call center that takes my information then calls me a few days later saying they can not offer me an appointment. I am no longer making any donations that support the Mayo Clinic since they don't actually accept the most sick patients... read more
They performed an umbilical hernia surgery on me in 2016. The original Doc I consulted with was not the Doc who performed the surgery. The surgeon kinked my intestines when she pushed them back into my body which has caused all type of problems especially digestion issues. When I called there today they said I was "no longer registered in the gastroenterology department because more than 3 years have passed."
