My trip was the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, Oct 2023. The balloon fiesta was fabulous. Mike the driver was awesome. Our tour manager Jolie started out great, however, as the days passed she encourage travelers to go off on their own which changed the touring times for everyone else. The last day was a disaster, one lady was left behind because Jolie didn't do a head count. More stops were added so other people could leave the tour and go places on their own. I will never use Mayflower again. They are refusing to refund my travel insurance money of $400 after the trip was cancelled. Be careful when dealing with this company!
I loved taking Mayflower Tours. However, I had to back out of a recent tour. The company told my travel partner (who paid in full from the beginning) that she would have to pay $600 more for a single room because I was not going with her. I called and talked to Tina Patel who refused to budge on this. I told her she was in jeopardy of losing a lot of future business and she told me she would take that chance. Well, she lost mine!
We had booked a Scandinavian tours with Vacations by Rail and ended up on Mayflower Tours. We were so disappointed in our experience. First we had planned rail tours and there was only one short trail ride the seven days of the tour, The first day of our tour we boarded a bus to take us on a tour of Stockholm. Unfortunately there was no microphone so therefore no guided tour. Went on the tour of Greece with stays in Santorini and Mykonos. Santorini hotel was terrible with moldy bathroom, no ceiling light in bathroom and no WiFi. Grand Circle and Gate 1 trips are far superior.
