We had a great experience at Maya! It has been several years since I have been here, and I can't wait to return. Honestly, the best part of the night was the excellent service by Mary T. She was sincerely funny, helpful, and provided attentive and friendly service, without being hovering. We all really enjoyed our meals (and we are picky eaters....). We stumbled into Maya while wandering around Charlottesville with absolutely no plan, which is apparently the best way to find great restaurants. The place is covered in art. Not “a few paintings on the wall” art. Art everywhere. Even the bathroom stalls are curated. At one point I wasn’t sure whether I was having dinner or being admitted into a gallery.
