I smashed my car into a steel light pole and he told me that I needed surgery for a severed aorta and I asked "What if I don't have surgery" and he said "You'll leave in a bag"..Had a severed aorta and ruptured heart wall, and he stitched it up and saved me ass!! My dad had him for a heart attack back in the early 80'z too!
December 10th, 1998. My left main was 95 per cent blocked (widowmaker) and I needed a cabg immediately. Dr. Maxwell pulled my cigarettes out of my shirt pocket, held them up in front of my face and said, "Now you're done with these, right?" "I guess", I said. "No guessing. I don't operate on people that won't quit and show up at my door again in 5 yrs." Nearly 20 years later I'm still living a healthy, productive life. I owe that to Dr. Maxwell and his team.
