I waited for 8 months to see Dr Raj at the Gold Coast Hospital, only to find that all she would spare me was 3 minutes of her time, and her heart is made of pure ice! So I saved my pennies and did some research, and found Dr Maxwell. And I'm SO glad I did! Not only is he warm and caring, but he is also extremely knowledgable and thorough! I highly recommend him as a neurologist.
This was honestly a horrible experience. Ian DOES NOT LISTEN to the patient. He talks over top of you, asks a question just to cut you off half way through and the result? He fobs you off at the end without knowing the reason you're there. I was so uncomfortable. He knows basic neurology and will use the session to cite said knowledge but not provide an insight into the issue the patient is experiencing...conveniently. I met with Dr Maxwell this morning at his rooms in Southport. Firstly, Jeannette on reception was warm and friendly making us feel very comfortable. Secondly, Dr Maxwell is a very engaging, interesting and highly qualified and experienced Neurologist. He comes with a myriad of life's experiences which helps him understand his patients extremely well. Have contact with Dr Maxwell on a regular basis. As many have said I find him proffesional, caring and understanding. For those who have neurological problems I strongly recommend this Doctor.
Friendly staff, Great doctor, affordable on Medicare. Advice for others that need to see a neurologist: the public system is free but the wait period is absolutely appalling. I recommend coming here for reliable fast results.
