Unknowledgeable staff. Terrible communication. Unclear housing application process. You would think something as important as housing would be a more streamlined process, but no, not at Maxwell. Last year, we were offered a home a month after arriving in Alabama, forcing us to get an off base apartment. This year, we’ve already reached our 30-day prior to move in date and no house has been offered yet and staff are unable to give me any kind of update. This is an update to my past review, they recently reached out and offered a resolution to the problems we were having. We appreciated the prompt response and flexibility in addressing the urgency of our needing housing.
Been here for just a week and already having a miserable time with Maxwell Family Housing. I have sent 3 emails and called 4 times total. All of this just to attempt to find out what’s going on with the queue. No response to emails, and EVERY single time I call the answer is “I’ll call you back with that answer.” They do not ever call back. Very unprofessional and a waste of time especially since house hunting can be limited on time as is.
Aeona (spelling?) and team were great at the leasing office. Great communication and tackled every question or concern I had! Thank you! Most importantly, I really enjoyed living on base because of my neighbors on East Drive. They really made the place special. I highly recommend if you have children to live on base. It really felt like home. Plus, you can’t beat having a DODEA school on base for the littles!
