Romain & Max fit us into their schedule to install a Sea.AI camera at the top of our mast. Romain was confident and creative, first getting the wires down the 70’ mast, then mounting the camera, and finally routing the wires into the boat where we need them. Maxmar replaced a wind transducer and a VHF antenna. From start to finish, Romain was professional and knowledgeable. The work was done timely and well. And I didn't have to go to the masthead!
Max and Romain fixed multiple issues on our sailboat efficiently and professionally.
I do believe that these guys could do good work. However they are horrible with communication multiple set appointments canceled. Dates changed no call or text. If you ask for an estimate, they will only give you a number over the phone. This kind of behavior is not that of a professional business. Recieved a text that said “send us 12000 we get started” I added the kind and courteous phone call and text that I received from Max just after I posted this review.
We had Maxmar upgrade our Harken 60 winches to electric winches and install USB charging ports in the cockpit. The experience was outstanding from start to finish. Their craftsmanship is top-notch—clean, precise, and clearly done with care. Max and Romain demonstrated deep knowledge of both the hardware and electrical systems, and their recommendations were spot on.
