Super delicious!! Wow. I’m from New Orleans and this hit the spot, and reminded me of home. That is hard to do! A must for anyone who loves Nola. Our server Jessica was phenomenal too! Excellent A+++ service. We will be back a lot!! Chocolate cake dessert was amazing too.

We had such a wonderful experience at Maxine’s Gumbo House! The food was absolutely delicious. I had the crawfish étouffée, and Jenna had the shrimp po’boy, and both were full of flavor and tasted amazing. But what really made our visit special was Cary, who was our waitress and hostess. Manor, Texas is not too long of a drive if you want cajun fare that's significantly better than most of Austin's cajun restaurant options and it actually serves good Jambalaya every day. The only better option I've found is the Bourbon Street Seafood Kitchen but that's San Antonio. Li'l Easy used to be good but not so much lately and Jambalaya Saturdays only. We just moved here from south Louisiana and was craving some Cajun food but didn’t want to cook it lol we heard great things about this place so decided to give it a shot. The gator piquante and bayou pasta were delish. Charlette was great. The food was great. Will be back. It’s good having something right here that we can come to when we don’t feel like cooking it
