This company gets a 0 star. I hired this this company 09/09/2015 to repair a crumbling external fireplace mantle. The material they used is falling off in sheets. There is a 10 year guarantee. There is a number to call but no one answers and no way of leaving a message. They have scammed me out of $1200.00

I would give this company 0 stars. I had hired them once to repair a skylight and had a short term warranty. The repair worked for a short time and I called. I was told there was now a different issue now which was not covered so they repaired the seal again, taking the whole skylight off and resealed with a 2 year warranty. That repair was July 28,2017. They came out to "fix" our leaking chimney. They put a coat of Crown coat down to help with the leak. After overcharging us, they leak was still there after the first rain. I called, and called, and called. They never answered or called me back. I filed a complaint with BBB, and guess who suddenly called back? After a nasty exchange with John Judd, he finally agreed to come out to "fix" the issue...of course it wasnt free of charge. He put a different coating down, and guess what??? Had company come out to clean the chimney. The cap was on the chimney when they came however after they completed the less than favorable service my cap was no longer on, it's dangling on the side of the roof. Called them after I went to that property and saw that. They want to charge me an additional $199 after charging me $544 for the cleaning that was suppose to be $149 as per the coupon. i am totally disatisfied with their service. I even had to clean their big mess in the basement by the chimney.

I wish I had read these reviews before making an appointment with Maximum Chimney. Very unreliable company. They either haven't figured out yet how to efficiently schedule appointments throughout the day or they can't manage their staff. I was given a four-hour window for their arrival to clean my chimney. Thirty minutes AFTER the deadline, I received a call from the office telling me that the appointment before mine took longer than they expected and nobody would be coming out because "it would be too dark for them to work.... read more
