Many thanks to Boca Ciega Marine Center for hustling well into the afternoon on a Friday to get me launched. We were minutes away from splashing after bottom painting and related routine service when a survey turned up a couple of concerns with unrelated underwater hardware. We always have our sailboat work done by the Maximo Boat yard. Shawn was very patient with me and accommodating us in getting it scheduled in a timely manner.
We went to Maximo Boatyard in December to have our boat hauled out for a bottom job, cutlass bearings replaced, and a few other miscellaneous items. Wayne, detailed the haul and it was wonderful, extremely satisfied with that, he is first class!! Cutlass bearings were done well however we had to have someone come and tighten up the shaft log as they were not properly tightened upon installation. 30 minutes out of the marina the water was flowing from the shaft logs and causing the alarm to sound notifying the boat was taking... read more
