Beautiful and well maintained cabin. We had a wonderful time. Great views of the mountains and meadow. A lot of wildlife. The cabin was clean when we arrived. There are cleaning supplies available as well as plenty of firewood. The main cabin has 2 bunk beds and a fireplace. There is another room next to the cabin with more beds but without a heater. Best accommodations around bozeman if you ask me
Hard to get a reservation, but there's a good reason why, Maxey is sacred ground. Beautiful, beautiful, our favorite cabin. Stream near the cabins, and a large meadow filled with all sorts of life. Almost stepped on a harmless garter snake out there, and we saw over 11 different bird species. Olive fly catcher, western tanagers, red and white winged crossbills, chipping sparrow, pine siskins everywhere, ravens, robins, Swainson's thrush, mountain chickadees and a pair of three toed woodpeckers.
