My husband and I chose to have a small Justice of the Peace Wedding. We were charged $85 for and in office Wedding which was not an issue for us. However, my issue was the office where the service was held was so tiny. We were cramped up with 10 people in this little room. My fiancé’ & I chose to have a private, small, intimate ceremony. At our age 70 & 62 we didn’t need the frills of an elaborate wedding. Me being a nurse & him a retired tow boat captain, we preferred a casual Justice of the Peace ceremony. Max Owens was not friendly. I would’ve loved to have been married down at the gazebo ($125), but me having a partial knee replacement surgery scheduled in 3 weeks it was not feasible to attempt the stairs.
