Beware – I took my car to this location for a Carco photo inspection. The inspection was quick, but they failed to give my docs to my insurance company, as they are required to do. I only found out five days later after my insurance company told me that my coverage was moments away from lapsing. I had to spend a whole lot of extra time and effort scanning and re-sending the docs because they did not live up to their part of the service.
Mahopac Mavis Can't Be Trusted – If Mahopac Mavis says you need a wheel alignment (especially if Moe tells you this), get a second opinion! Also be sure to look at the wheel alignment print-out. Sometimes the wheel aloignment is only off by such a very small percentage that it's senseless to get a wheel alignment for this minor issue. This location should not be confused with corporate Mavis locations. In other words, the Mahopac franchise is not to be trusted as much as other Mavis facilities. Mahopac Mavis is just too sales oriented. They push services that don't really need to be done. In contrast, other Mavis locations seem fair in their dealings.
