My stay at Maverick Suites in Boston on Fenway was extremely frustrating and disappointing. 1. The sound proofing is indeed terrible. There is noise from the street and neighboring rooms and building as if the window is open or there is no wall between rooms, like you're camping. There was also a constant knocking sound in my room throughout my 4 night stay, which comes from who knows where within the walls of the building but was very disturbing to my sleep. 2. Paid an extra $400 total to book a bigger room on the second floor, but was given a smaller room on the first floor, instead. No refund for the price difference in the room paid for and room received. Smooth check-in and check-out, though and the room was clean, but the company will not give me a refund even after I reached out.
Air conditioner was broken but they supplied a fan! But it was hard to sleep, location is PERFECT!! Totally worth the broken air conditioner for the price and the location. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Our friends said their air conditioner worked just fine. You are super close to Newbury street, like a 5 minute or less walk and then you can get to the Commons and then the Freedom Trail and then wherever you want to go! Location was huge for me! Room was everything we needed.
If I could give zero stars, I would. This property was a complete disaster from start to finish. They promised us a 12 PM checkout, which we planned around—but to our shock, they locked us out of the unit before that, with all our bags still inside. Yes, they confiscated our belongings and left us stranded outside. Totally unacceptable. We were also told the unit comes with a kitchen, which was one of the main reasons we booked it. SCAMMMERS!!! Tricked me to pay off air bnb app and save 10%. All my information was sold. Credit cards had fraudulent charges, people were trying to log into my bank account and Facebook. Scary when it happens to you. Very rude and condescending people when asking for help
