About the shop: I was blessed enough to see Maverick House come to life (they bought the tough fight of starting during the pandemic) and the vibrancy of this little shop of misfits brings me back each time. Not only are they trending on hair, they have inspired a number of decorative trends for me as well (first intro to a candle warmer) Liz is co-owner, though you wouldn't know it given how humble they are. The community at this salon is beautiful and such a bonus to have the company of this sweet pup . Anna has been cutting/highlighting my hair for years and she is such a creative and intuitive stylist.
This is a very special place. It’s a gem in the neighborhood and the relaxed vibe of the salon makes for a wonderful experience from the client perspective. I suspect this is what salons used to be like- when women got together for a fun afternoon of conversation and haircare. My first time here but won’t be my last. This is one of the rare times (for me) that the glowing reviews are well deserved.
Liz Wright is, in my opinion, the best stylist and colorist in the city. They’ve done my shags, mullets, fashion colors, and now blondes, all with expertise and precision. You couldn’t choose a better hair salon.
Best hair salon in the west village. I have been becoming here for YEARS and I am OBSESSED with this fun, friendly, and extremely talented salon team (shoutout to my hair goddess Liz)!
