Easily one of the best coffee spots in Whittier. I picked up their cold brew, and it’s completely different from your average daily cold brew. It has a incredible body and a distinct depth/flavor profile to it that you just don't get at standard chains super smooth with zero bitter aftertaste. My wife got the Thai tea and loved itrich, perfectly sweetened, and high quality. We also grabbed a few of their home-baked cookies, which were unbelievable. Maverick Coffee in Whittier gets four stars from me! The place is super cute—it's actually a bike shop that also features a coffee stall inside. Their menu is definitely limited; they don't have a lot listed, but they do offer a Thai iced tea. The tea is home-brewed, which is a really nice touch! They also have a refrigerator stocked with a few different kinds of canned sodas. No food! The only real downside is that there is no seating available. This actually isn’t a coffee shop but bike shop that happens to sell coffee. It’s a repurposed garage so it’s open air but still feels relatively comfortable even at 85 degree Fahrenheit. It’s a neat place and worth visiting instead of your average Starbucks or other big chain coffee shop. Also if you need biking gear of course.
