I went for a formal style. The first thing she said to me was do you have alopecia because my hair is fine. How insulting! My hair has been like this all my life. I asked for some curls and she used the smallest curling iron she had even after I stated it was too small. The top part of my hair looked like a frizzy birds’ nest. She told me the curls would relax. I could not leave like that and she aggressively combed the curls out (with a lot of hairspray) to be more relaxed. I have really fragile hair, but she didn’t care.
