Good luck ever getting a returned phone call no matter if it’s about biopsy results or pain after a procedure. We ended up having to go to the ER and found out there that my husband had acute on chronic gangrenous cholecystitis. This was something that should have been caught months ago when he originally had blood work done and was told certain numbers were higher than normal but was told by Mauk “not to worry about it.” It has been a week since our original phone call to the office and still no return call.

The person that I called to make an appointment at Dr. Mauk's offie refused to schedule my appointment today (12/07/22 @ 1:45 p.m.). The appointment person hung up the phone on me 4 times, refusing to take my call. I was referred to see this doctor by another doctor who says that he is a very good doctor, but his appointment secretary is very unprofessional. My husband and I use gi Houston! Wonderful, caring drs and staff here!! Can't suggest them enough. Pass their info on every chance available.

Dr. Mauk is very professional and an active listener which helps tremendously in establishing a good doctor/patient relationship. I feel I am in good hands w his years of practice and up to date knowledge. I also appreciate the office staff and very helpful and caring nurse. A great team!

I reccomend dr Mauk to ANYONE! Hes the best dr ive had since Dr Max in the 1980s. If you need a great dr, look no further.
