We went on a whale watch kayak adventure and had such a good time. Andres was a great guide! We saw lots of whales and even a dolphin. We also heard whale “singing”-pretty cool!!
We have been using Maui Kayaks for over 15 years. We've done snorkeling trips, whale watching trips and kayaking trips. We've always had a good time, a great guide and seen lots of amazing things. We love that they donate a portion of their proceeds, do community work and take care of the environment. They also respect all of the rules about proper distance from animals, which not all groups do. We have recommended them to anyone traveling to Maui.
There is no better way to see/hear the whales than from the kayaks. Andres, our guide, had such upbeat, positive energy. I think it helped bring the whales to us! We also had so much fun snorkeling at turtle town. The water is clear and beautiful, so there is no better place to see turtles! I was originally worried that climbing back into the kayak from the water would be hard, but Andres gave really clear directions and it was no problem at all. Overall, we had the best day!! Thank you, Andres!!
I did the kayak whale watch snorkel tour with John in late January. He was a very knowledgeable tour guide and led us to see many whales sometimes very close in kayaks. Although it was also a snorkel tour, everyone wanted to keep paddling to see more whales. He also took some great pictures and movies of the whales underwater. If you want to keep lasting memories of this trip he offers a photography package which you can purchase at the end of the trip. I highly recommend this during humpback whale calving and mating season.
Best first time turtle experience! John our guide was so informative, funny, and smart.. I felt safe and prepared for my first turtle kayak/swim adventure! Highly recommend this outfit for a once in a lifetime experience!
