The people are nice and the tour was fun, but the business model is ethically compromised. These firms apply neuroscience and food chemistry to intensify craving in ultra-processed foods, despite mounting evidence that these products are linked to cancer, metabolic disease, and early mortality. At this point, the harm is no longer incidental, it’s structurally baked into the profit model.
Dont like that instead of working towards positive innovation for humans, Mattson is working with large food corporation to make the food even more addictive. What a waste of great minds.
Imagine wanting to make people addicted to food and then being butt hurt when a drug comes out that counteracts it so they try to look for ways to make food more addictive … this company is evil!
They right now are working to re-engineer food ingredients to bypass the wait loss drugs. These people are sick
