We lost our house in the recent Southern California Thomas fire and received two beautiful bikes from dear friends, which were also but at this bike store. My husband tried to return the bike he had just bought for me as a Christmas gift there that had never even left the store, but they did not want to give us a refund. But instead They did end up charging us a 25% restocking fee and labor for putting the basket on. I went into matts cycling center for a mountain bike and ended up getting a Giants mountain bike. The customer service made my first experience awesome and I got my bike for a great price! The owners name is Steve and he was very knowledgeable about bicycles making it easy and fast to find the best bike for me and even ended up getting one for my gf! Just bought two bikes both giants, love my road bike so far, my first and can't stay off. Steve the owner, sure steered me right on this bike, after many test rides with others, this one sang to me! Now getting my new mountain bike ready for me, I'm sure it will be as great! Pricing is very fair and quality a-z. Steve has given me not one but two good deals, I highly recommend this shop.lisa c.
I have lived in this area a long time and Matts has been the one shop that seems to always be there for you. I have known the owner for 16 years doing business with him and have always been treated fairly and honestly. I have a mountain and a road bike and Matts has kept them both going in great shape and has always done the extra little things of personal service so often missing in other shops. Great cycling store! I came here looking for a new bike, and they have an amazing selection. The beach cruisers are super cute, and I loved exploring within the shop. It's semi hidden in this small shopping center, next to Vons and Meridians. The service is great, very helpful, and willing to answer questions!
Best of the bunch. I have always been treated better there than most every store of any kind I go to. I like seeing the same honest and dependable people I get to know year after year
