I entered the store, contacted the salesman, Richard, and explained to him what I was looking for. He didn't try to sell me something out of my price range or that wasn't practical for me. He actually explained the difference between getting a platform compared to buying a box spring. To avoid the wait time on delivery of a box spring, since I was entertaining guests the following day, Richard sold me a platform at a discounted price along with a mattress.
