I can’t describe what a positive, motivating experience this was. I wish I had hired a consultant for my first kid. Very professional, very knowledgeable, thorough..... would make an excellent new mom gift!
I cannot say enough about Shondra! We called her out of desperation after a week of difficult nursing and she was able to see us the same day. Not only that, but she came to our house which made things beyond easy for us. I was nervous about COVID and she showed up with two masks on, having took her temperature and gloves. She was down to earth, warm and relatable. She was so knowledgeable in all things breastfeeding and was able to explain things in a way that made complex issues more simple. Shondra is a fantastic and thoughtful provider. As a colleague, I am so impressed by her depth of knowledge and her warmth and kindness!
I was so worried that I wouldn't be able to breastfeed due to a past surgery. At the hospital I was told I would only be able to feed on one side and that I'd always need to use a nipple shield. I ended up with very low supply and when I lost the shield I contacted Shondra in a total panic. She was so understanding, patient and reassuring. I really felt listened to.
