Excellent experience with my hip replacement from surgery to recovery. Everything went so well. Many thanks to Dr. Matthys and the entire team for their outstanding care. His office nurse Amanda has been so prompt to respond and helpful! I knew I was in good hands when the morning of surgery I asked Dr. Matthys if he was ready, and his response was that he’s absolutely ready, that he loves what he does, it’s his hobby, and he can’t imagine ever retiring!
I just had a Total Hip Replacement performed by Dr. Matthys. My experience at Center for Special Surgery was incredible! From the moment I arrived to when I left later that same day, the staff was professional, friendly, and put me at ease. This is my second time having Dr. Matthys perform a surgery for me. First, it was a hip replacement, and this time it was a knee surgery. Both times Dr Matthys and his team were great to work with. Had total hip replacement 9/25/25 with Dr. Matthys. It is now 9/30 and I am off the walker, killing PT appointments and feeling better than I have in years. Everything has exceeded my expectations- Dr. Matthys’ candor during my consultation, the process leading up to the surgery and the follow up.
