I was an inpatient for three days following surgery due to complications. Dr Hummel incorrectly coded my stay as outpatient and my insurance billed me a $500 copay. If it was correctly coded as an inpatient stay, Medicare would have paid the entire bill and I would not have the $500 copay. I have tried to get this corrected thru Mychart but am just getting a runaround. I was an inpatient, Dr Hummel, and was treated for three days. Not just observed. You need to fix this!!!
I had hip replacement on Sept 30, 2024. During the surgery patches were placed over my eyes. Afterwards I had an extreme reaction to the patches where my eyes felt like they were on fire. This lasted all day and into the next. My blood pressure dropped to 60 over 40. I saw spots and was completely out of it. I was treated and wound up being in the hospital for three days.
