Dr. Shahbandi recommended my parent get surgery that they ultimately did not need. Dr. Shahbandi's nurse conducted one test and Dr. Shahbandi, based on that one test, determined that my parent couldn't urinate on their own ever again. I took my parent to another urologist who said that conclusion was way too premature and that we needed more time and support with medication. Dr. Shanbandi has been my urologist for years, and I wouldn't want to go to anyone else. He has a great professional and friendly demeanor and is always straightforward with the truth and your choices. He has never made me feel forced to do any procedures and has ever clearly explained my options and allowed me to choose. I would highly recommend him. His nurses and technicians are super friendly and professional and make me feel at ease!
Excellent doctor! Very professional, explained everything to me and my husband about my emergency surgery and second surgery. Always greeted my husband and me with a handshake and if also had and concerns and questions. Hackensack hospital has great surgerial team and recovery nurse after surgery I had marlin the nurses name caring and very professional! at hospital are very caring and professional! Before surgery the nurses were very kind and understanding also made me fell comfortable.
Very poor customer service in the office. The payment all the sudden was requested up front even the insurance company explained on the phone that the patient has HSA account and the doctor should submit the claim to insurance company first as he is in the network and that is how the payment would be pricessed. The whole situation was handled very badly by office stuff: Kym. I am not even sure this second visit was nessesary at all. I would stay away from this office altogether.
I have no comment on Dr. Shahbandi himself because I was never able to actually see him; however, he should be concerned with the way his patients are treated. New Jersey Urology - 1211 Hamburg Turnpike in Wayne has no respect for patients' valuable time. Wish i could give 0 Stars but 1 is the lowest. I made an appt. to see Dr. Shahbandi, filled out the forms and paid a $40.00 co-pay. While waiting I found out that 2 other patients ahead of me were waiting to see Dr. Shahbandi, one of those pati
Dr. Shahbandi is truly one of the best doctors that I've ever been to and put me at ease right away. He patiently listened to my concerns and was genuinely concerned with making his patients better. Great doctor, would definitely recommend. It's nice not to feel like a number.
