I felt nervous going to a neurologist at my age(66). As a senior, you automatically think the worst, especially when you’re already seeing 5 specialists. Dr. Parry was very warm and friendly. He had reviewed my chart beforehand and knew all about me, which was very refreshing. He doesn’t speak “doctor”, but talks to you plainly and makes sure you understand his conclusions about your condition. Dr Parry listens and treats me with respect.
I loved how he took me seriously and took the time to both listen to me and explain things thoroughly. I also liked that he is committed to empowering patients to make their own health decisions.
Dr. Parry genuinely listens. Very rare in a provider. It's unfortunate that the practice has him so pressed for time between patients that we feel rushed and don't always get everything we need addressed. When you have seizures and other brain issues, being rushed can mean things get overlooked and you go home without getting them addressed. Follow ups are months apart which doesn't help either. The practice needs to allow the providers time to properly care for their patients especially those with brain issues.
