My wife was under Dr Soapes care. He went in to on her with a scope uper GI to remove a stint in her main bile duct and he said he tried to enter the duct but something like scar tissue was blocking his approach to get it. 6 months later we found out it was lymphoma cancer that he did not recognize. If would have recognize it she could have forgotten it but being an aggressive cancer she passed. He 8s a nice guy but.
84yr old Mother is in hospital for severe stomach pain and nausea. Did a HIDA scan 3 days ago, which was negative. Mother's severe pain and nausea continues...Dr. Soape hasn't made rounds in 3 days on my mom.??? The cardiologist even questions why the GI physician is not following up and symptoms continue....said we're wasting our time and money and should consider finding a different GI doctor.
Dr Soape saw my father in the hospital, did an ERCP procedure with biopsy and said he would call with results following week on Modday or Tuesday My dad was released from the hospital on Friday despite his elevated enzymes. Waited until Tuesday and called left message with nurse Marissa and Dr never called. Then 3 weeks later received a letter that he had scheduled a repeat procedure. Definitely not happening when you can't even communicate with your patients.
Called and left a message regarding scheduling an appointment and I am still waiting on a call back 9 days later. I will get a referral for another doctor. Unfortunate the doctor receives bad reviews for incompetent staff.
