I had surgery with Dr Mifsud went great and my experience in the Tampa General hospital was better than dealing with his staff in office. 1.The appointment line takes forever to answer the phone. 2.I submitted short term disability paperwork through my chart, which is the system that they use and they stated they didn’t receive it until a week later I was told it take 7 to 10 days after speaking with several medical assistant, which apparently didn’t even have a record noted on my chart. 3.Then, when I go to the office, they... read more

My brother was in the ICU for a week for high blood pressure which caused a brain bleed. He couldn’t keep anything down in him, and still has a hard time keeping anything down even though he eats very little. He also is battling colon cancer. The doctors at Tampa General took a biopsy of a spot on his cheek (this was done the week he was in ICU 7-5 through 7-12). I would not recommend Dr Mifsud to anyone over 50. When I went to see him. He checked my problem. He said afterward that the problem needs to be watched or checked regularly. He also said that had I been 50 years old or less, he would do more for me. However, he said that at my age( mid seventies) he would be wasting his time. I was told to come back in a year. No medications or instructions give for the time during the year. He left the room in a hurry.
