Dr Kippenhan is a Failure to Give a darn doctor ready to retire? in my not so humble opinion.he needs a new job how about Greeter triage in the waiting room before accepting a position at Northwestern the staff doesnt care its awful they follow his lead he doesnt double check their work one caring doctor Tobias and he disappeared the tech doesnt apply an ace wrap correctly size critches or review my xray with me..Matt doesn't understand the nurse and tech are essentially the same uncaring...I would get rid of ER techs and fo... read more
I had to go to the ER last night at Northwestern and I was SO impressed with Dr. Kippenhan''s care. He was candid with me when I asked him questions, gave me plenty of time to discuss my condition, and gave me a great overall experience. He spoke to me like an adult about my condition and I felt really good about the decisions made for my care. I highly recommend him.
I agree with everything every one else said. I just wish I could see him outside of the ER as a primary care giver.

I recently had the fortune of being cared for by Dr. Kippenhan in the Northwestern Hospital emergency room. I had been to the emergency room at Northwestern one other time for an unrelated issue & the experience was awful. The experience wasn't much better this time except for Dr. Kippenhan. He is an excellent emergency room doctor, very professional yet very personable. He and his resident took very good care of me and I couldn't have been happier with the results.
