Waited over a month for an appointment, drove 50 minutes and showed up early, checked in, was given workers comp forms to fill out, and was called up to the desk and told I can’t be seen! Waited to speak to office manager who informed me Dr Steel hasn’t taken workers comp in over a year. Hmm, did he forget to notify his front office staff who set up my appointment, took my workers comp information and handed me a workers comp form upon arrival?? I had a long complicated “I don’t like banner,” history, but Dr. Steele and Giselle have been wonderful. I have seen them for both wrists and ankles at this point and always felt respected, heard and cared for. I had a physical therapist suggest I get another orthopedic doctor as i was moving two hours away, um no. I don’t drive a Prius, have a lot of money or time, but no. My first encounter with Dr. Steele’s staff was impressive. As a lifelong athlete and carrier of Lupus and Elhers Danlos Syndrome, I need long term care with a lot of TLC along the way. When I met Dr. Steele and his staff I felt respected, heard, and cared for thoroughly. I recently moved here from NH, I was being treated with flouroscopic cortisone injections for arthritis. My wrist joint is very difficult to inject, I was concerned about finding a Doctor to successfully administer this treatment. All my concerns were laid to rest after meeting Dr Steele.
