I was honestly skeptical as a walk-in urgent care patient, but Dr. Calkins was fantastic and I am now considering a move to this practice. He listened, diagnosed me with a skin condition that was not remotely on my radar, and got me on my way with meds that saved my Christmas vacation. :)
I visited Atrium Urgent Care in Rural Hall twice the last month, unfortunately received “treatment” from Calkins. He was not thorough at all he rushed through my visit he was not a good experience at all. I’ve heard others say the same since my visit. Please get some more caring someone that is more professional and actually evaluates you. Thank you.
My pcp is here i love my pcp. I was sick and did the urgent care walk in. The nurse who called me back wasn't friendly but not really rude either. The Dr came in and you can tell he doesn't care what's wrong with me. The first thing he said to me was how my symptoms didn't meet the requirements for medicine and so there was nothing he could do. I love the office in general but had a terrible experience with the physician. The minute he walked in he did not take any time to really listen to my symptoms and past symptoms. I have this sickness a couple of times a year and it is treated the same and that treatment is effective. He gave me a textbook reason that he wouldn’t treat with antibiotics. Dr. Calkins was great. Personable and understanding. Good listener. Addressed my concerns quickly and professionally, and my issue was resolved in a matter of days thanks to his treatment.
